My Chains
Jesus is my captain. He guides my paths straight when I sway away from Him. Through the stress and anxiety that this life holds I can find shelter in my creator.
You plead my cause, you right my wrongs
You break my chains, you overcome
You gave your life, to give me mine
You say that I am free
(Lauren Daigle/How can it be)
You break my chains! Oh God your almighty power takes control of my worries and breaks them to pieces!
Chains can be defined as Metal Links.
Your chains are your worries, your stress, your sin. Metal links fasten together tightly becoming hard to pull apart or resist. Metal chains are almost unbreakable. Only one person can break the chains that you drag behind you. Our Captain. The great love and compassion of Christ can break anything, including thick metal chains. Even though man drags chains, we cannot break them. Man cannot break an almost indestructible substance with the works of the flesh. But all things are possible with the help of our Lord Jesus Christ.
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
– Matthew 19:26 (ESV)
